A successful completion of a Use Hygienic Practices for food Safety course , SITXFSA001, is a prerequisite to enrolling into the Food Safety Supervisor course( more information below). The Food Safety Supervisor course is delivered as approved by the NSW food authority. It is also a requirement of this course participants must complete a workbook prior to attending the mandatory face to face training.

Businesses that require Food Safety Supervisor include: restaurants, cafes, takeaway shops, caterers, bakeries, pubs, clubs, hotels and supermarket hot food sales. This course develops the skills necessary to act in the role of Food Safety Supervisor.

This Unit of Competency (UoC) (course) Food Safety Supervisor has as a prerequisite successful completion of the Use Hygienic Practices for food Safety (SITXFSA001). It is also The College organisational practice that the underpinning course is completed within a 7-day period prior to progressing to the Food Safety Supervisor course.

Individuals who have previously completed Use Hygienic Practices for food Safety and are outside of the 7-day period will be required to demonstrate ongoing competence through written assessment aligned to the requirements of the Workplace Food Hygiene course. Assessment of competence against the course prerequisites may incur an additional assessment charge of $100.00.

WORKBOOKS ARE TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR AND PRESENTED TO THE TRAINER IN CLASS. Failure to COMPLETE to the workbooks may result in the course not going ahead
