It is a requirement of this course that participants must complete a workbook prior to attending the mandatory face to face training.

This course deals with the skills and knowledge required to follow key hygiene procedures that apply in hospitality and tourism outlets. Once you have successfully completed this course, you will be able to follow workplace hygiene procedures, and identify and prevent hygiene risks.

This Unit of Competency (UOC) (course) is a PRE-REQUISITE for the successful completion of the Food Safety Supervisor course. It is also a requirement of the NSW Food Authority that this underpinning course is completed within a 7-day period prior to progressing to the Food Safety Supervisor course.

Individuals who have previously completed a Food Hygiene course and are outside of the 7-day period will be requested to demonstrate ongoing competence against UOC requirements for workplace food hygiene via written assessment. Demonstration of current competence is required in order to progress to the Food Safety Supervisor course. Please note additional assessment may incur additional charges.

WORKBOOKS ARE TO BE COMPLETED AND PRESENTED TO THE TEACHER IN CLASS. Failure to complete to the workbooks may result in the course not going ahead.
