The certificate III in individual support ( Ageing) has become the entry level qualification for a rewarding career in the Aged Care industry. This qualification offers individuals an introduction to all aspects of a carers role including maintaining independence, personal care, supporting health and well being, recognising healthy body systems and activities of daily living.
To achieve this certificate the candidate must complete at least 120 hours of work placement. This is a mandatory requirement of the qualification.
Students must 16 years of age or above. Students are required to undertake a language, literacy and numeracy assessment and face to face interview prior to enrolment. A current police check and working with children check is required prior to commencement of course.Up to date immunisations including Infleunza vaccination is required prior to work placement.
